A huge disaster was averted on Sunday at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. According to sources, Jet Airways aircraft 9W603 preparing for Srinagar hit the wing of another flight (9W730) of same airways bound for Patna. Both the planes were preparing for takeoff.

The aircraft for Srinagar was turning and its tail wing hit the wing of the other flight which was stationary. The incident happened at around 2:48 pm. As the tip of the tail win broke, both the flights were guided towards parking for examination. All guests and crew that were on board are safe.

Though, the crew members are de-rostered for further investigation. Also, the guests were taken for re-accomodation on other flights.
